Refund & cancellation policy

How cancellations work, exactly how a refund is calculated, and how long it takes.

Last updated 2 September 2026

1. The rule that decides everything

What you can get back depends on the fare you bought, not on us. Every fare on our results page shows whether it is refundable, and the fare panel shows the airline's cancellation fee before you pay. Buy a Flex fare and cancellation is cheap or free; buy a Saver fare and the base fare is not returned.

2. How a refund is calculated

Starting from what you paid, we deduct in this order:

  1. The airline's cancellation penalty for that fare, per passenger.
  2. The AeroVista service fee, which is not refundable once a booking is confirmed.
  3. Any non-refundable ancillaries you bought, such as seats or extra baggage, where the airline does not return them.

Whatever remains is refunded to the original payment method. Government taxes and airport fees are returned even on a non-refundable fare, because they are only levied when you fly.

A worked example

Total paid₹9,400
Airline cancellation fee (Saver fare)− ₹3,500
AeroVista service fee− ₹199
Refund to your account₹5,701

3. How long it takes

  • We initiate the refund as soon as the airline confirms the cancellation — usually within a few hours, always within 48 hours.
  • Your bank settles it in 5–7 working days for cards and UPI, and up to 10 working days for net banking.
  • You can see the status any time in payment history.

4. Cancelling

Cancel from My Trips at any time before departure. The page shows the refund we expect before you confirm. If a cancellation is inside four hours of departure, or after check-in, the airline treats it as a no-show and only statutory taxes are returned.

5. Cab bookings

  • Free cancellation up to 4 hours before pickup — full refund, no fee.
  • Inside 4 hours: the operator's cancellation charge applies, typically 25% of the fare.
  • No-show at pickup: no refund. If the driver does not arrive, you get a full refund and we escalate it with the operator.

6. When the airline cancels

If the operating airline cancels your flight or reschedules it materially, you are entitled to a full refund including our service fee, or a free rebooking, whichever you prefer. Tell us which and we will process it — you do not need to argue with the airline yourself.

7. Failed bookings

If your payment is taken but the airline does not confirm the reservation, we refund the full amount automatically within 24 hours, including our service fee. Nothing is charged for a booking that does not exist.

8. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund calculation, raise it with support quoting your booking reference. We will show you the fare rule and the arithmetic. If we got it wrong, we fix it.
